Description
Pulmonary system fortifier
Indications
Weakness of the pulmonary parenchyma, frequently characterized by the following: weakness or pain in the back, nocturnal perspiration, an increased susceptibility to infection, circulatory disturbances, lack of appetite, anemia, lack of pallor, cyanosis, and transparency of the skin (especially of the face).
Mode of action
R57 contains two groups of remedies. One group exerts its influence directly on the bronchial mucous membranes and the second group, comprised of the constitutional remedies, are of benefit to the asthenic and phlegmatic constitutional types. In this way, it is possible to reduce any existing infection and to reduce susceptibility to tuberculosis by stimulation of the endogenous immune response.
Arsenum iodatum: Stimulates the appetite; effective in pulmonary tuberculosis, asthma, purulent bronchitis, and pulmonary abscess; dry, irritating cough without expectoration.
Calcium carbonicum hahnemanni: Leucophlegmatic constitution; general sensitivity to cold, sweating on the occiput – especially at night; dyspnea upon exertion.
Lycopodium: Increases hepatic activity, facilitates the detoxifying function of the liver; stimulates the appetite; asthma; chronic dry, tickling cough; right-sided pneumonia.
Phosphorus: Pulmonary tuberculosis; chronic bronchitis; asthma; emphysema; pneumonia – especially left-sided; recurring respiratory infections; lingering, tickling coughs.
Silicea: Weakness of the pulmonary connective tissue; tuberculosis; chilliness, and sensitivity to cold.
Teucrium scorodonia: Specific for pulmonary tuberculosis, chronic bronchitis, and rhinitis.
