Indications
Hemorrhoids; pruritus ani; anal fissures, anal prolapsus; eczema of the anal region; anal plethora, pain, bleeding.
Mode of action
Acidum nitricum: Stabbing, stitching, splinter-like pain in the intestines; sensation of constriction during defecation, with violent pain after stool; anal prolapse, anal fissures.
Aesculus hippocastanum: Dryness and burning of external hemorrhoidal mucosa; dark red/purple prolapsed hemorrhoids. Sharp pains shooting upwards from the rectum into the back; dull pains radiating into the sacroiliac region; venous stasis, dilation, and distention.
Collinsonia canadensis: Venous congestion in the pelvis; constipation and hard stool; flatulence; hematogenic hemorrhoids.
Graphites: Constipation; large, hard stool; flatulence; anal eczema; rectal itching and hemorrhoids.
Hamamelis virginiana: Weakness of the veins, varicosities; passive hemorrhage; bleeding hemorrhoids.
Kalium carbonicum: Backaches; painful hemorrhoids, with burning and stitching pains; hard stool, flatulence.
Lycopodium clavatum: Meteorism, flatulence; hard, dry stool with incomplete defecation, constipation; bleeding hemorrhoids with prolapse and spasm of the anal sphincter.
Nux vomica: Hypochondria and dyspepsia; constipation with ineffectual urging for stool; persisting pain after defecation; itching and painful hemorrhoids with tendency to hemorrhage, anal rhagades; anal redness.
Paeonia officinalis: Moist hemorrhoids, congested or thrombosed hemorrhoids; rectal fissure; extremely painful bowel movements.
Sulphur: Itching or burning of the rectum; hemorrhoids, rectal fistula; moist itchy eruptions, eczema of the perianal skin; redness.
