Indications
The appearance of hydrops and oedema caused by myocardial weakness, cardiac affections, or infectious diseases. Ascites caused by myocardial weakness. Effective in oedema caused by renal insufficiency, nephritis, or renal calculi; cardiac decompensation.
Mode of action
R58 functions to increase cardiac strength and function, and to tonify the circulatory system.
Adonis vernalis: Similar in action to Digitalis purpurea, without the cumulative effects; strengthens the myocardium; arrhythmia and tachycardia.
Convallaria majalis: Cardiac tonic; myocardial weakness, endocarditis, nervous palpitations, myocardial hypertrophy.
Crataegus: Increases coronary blood flow; increases the force and rhythmicity of cardiac contractions.
Digitalis: Myocardial weakness, heart failure, oedema; bradycardia, tachycardia, palpitations.
Helleborus niger: Diuretic; oedematous swellings; cardiac palpitations.
Scilla: Marked diuretic action; indicated for oedema caused by cardiac and renal disease; exudative (fibrinous) forms of pleuritis; arrhythmia.
