Indications
Hoarseness of the voice; as is most likely to affect singers, actors, teachers, etc. Catarrh in the larynx, with a wounded sensation; pharyngitis, laryngitis.
May be used as a complementary specialty in tuberculosis of the larynx, nervous conditions (i.e. globus hystericus), and in influenza.
Mode of action
Argentum nitricum: Hoarseness and catarrh from over-exertion of the voice; splinter-like pains in the throat; complete loss of voice.
Arnica: Injury; counteracts the consequences of overexertion; dry, short cough; sensation as if something hard in the throat; burning in the throat.
Arum maculatum: Pharyngitis, laryngitis; the nose, mouth and pharynx are raw, hot, inflamed, and painful; excessive salivation with difficulties swallowing.
Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni: Sore throat; swelling or constriction of the pharynx, larynx, and esophagus. Hoarseness caused by paralysis of the nerves (nervus recurrens).
Phosphorus: Hoarseness of the voice, usually without pain, though painful at times; entire loss of the voice; laryngitis; pain and sensitivity of the larynx, worse cough.
Extended use of R45 strengthens and provides resistance to the structures of the larynx.
