Mode of action
R34 contains a number of calcium compounds which profoundly influence calcium metabolism; individual descriptions of these remedies follow below:
Calcium carbonicum Hahnemanni: Acts directly upon the bone tissue; rickets, osteomalacia, softening of the bones due to lack of calcium; swellings of the skeletal system.
Calcium fluoratum: Osseous nutritional disorders; periosteal thickening, exostosis; bone spurs; poor quality of the tooth enamel.
Calcarea hypophosphorosa: Regulates the production of calcium during pregnancy.
Calcium phosphoricum: Perturbations in bone growth and development; slow healing injuries of bone; deficient calcium production; rickets; difficult dentition.
Chamomilla: Anger, irritability; perspiration of the head; painful or difficult dentition and teething.
Hekla lava: Exostosis; hardened abscess of the jaw, especially of dental origin.
Mercurius praecipitatus ruber: Effective against osseous deficiencies; exostosis and periostitis; nocturnal pains in the bones.
Mezereum: Inflammation and pains in the periosteum, accompanied by nocturnal bone pain and sensitivity to touch, especially the tibia, humerus, etc.
