Description
Dogwood Buds
Description
- Brings endocrine function into balance, especially thyroid related hyperfunction
- Anti-necrotic in first stages of post infarct
- Anticoagulant, used for sticky or thick platelets or elevated platelets
Therapeutic actions:
- It is due to the study of gemmotherapy that much is known of the circulatory properties of Cornus sanguinea.
- Cornus sanguinea enhances the normal physiology of clotting, as an anticoagulant it maintains the blood fluidity, and paradoxically it is an antihemorrhagic and a clot dissolver.
- It prevents the impending infarction, treats the new infarction but is not indicated for later stages.
- Due to its circulatory action, Cornus sanguinea has anti-necrotic properties on tissues, even in the acute phase, when necrosis is caused by an infarction of the capillaries.
- At the arterial level, Cornus sanguinea acts as a drainer of arteries and anti-inflammatory.
- It is a great anti-thrombotic remedy. Its anticoagulant action, which contributes to maintaining blood fluidity, is paradoxically associated with antihemorrhagic properties, as well as at the cranial, abdominal and thoracic level. Certain plants are thus bipolar according to the action to perform.
- Kupffer cells of the liver are stimulated by Cornus sanguinea.
- Cornus sanguinea coincidentally stimulates bone marrow (stimulation of mast cells and plasma cells).
Clinical indications:
- Cardiovascular system: Most important remedy for acute thrombosis, acute necrosis, infarction (first stages of an infarct), whatever the location. Post stent surgery.
- Bipolar action – issues of blood coagulation: Anticoagulant – When heparin resistance test is high.
- Antihemorrhagic: When caused by excessive anticoagulant therapy.
- In fact Cornus sanguinea constitutes a major cardiac remedy, exerting an effect in cases of coronary insufficiency and coronaritis, but especially as a preventative for infarction. It neutralises the formation of infarction.
- Arterial level: (arterial drainer and anti-inflammatory). It is indicated in various arteritis, particularly those of lower limbs and those of nicotinic (any smoker should regularly follow a Cornus sanguinea cure!), and those of Horton arteritis (inflammation of the temporal artery).
- Its tonic action on arteries is associated with anti-atherosclerosis properties.
- Renal system: Cornus sanguinea is active in nephrosis (alteration of renal glomerulus whose capillaries no longer retain blood proteins) the origin of which is unknown in medicine that could be due to spleen functioning according to Chinese traditional medicine.
- Glandular system (for endocrine balancing through drainage): Major remedy for hyperthyroidism with thyrotoxicosis (Basedow’s disease), (in synergic association), goitre, exophthalmia, but it has no activity on adenomas, euthyoidic goiter and phenomena’s of dysendocrinia.
- Menopausal symptoms – hot flushes (Vaccinium vitis-iadea).
