Bar Coatings

Nut or seed butter coating

Combine

3 tbsp. natural, unsweetened nut or seed butter,

1 ½ tbsp. virgin coconut oil (warmed until melted)

3-4 drops liquid stevia (more or less to taste) in a small bowl

Spread or drizzle over cooled, uncut bar. Alternatively, dunk the ends of cut bars and place on an unlined cookie sheet

Refrigerate for 30 minutes until the coating has hardened

Makes enough to coat one 8 x 9 inch pan of bars (double to recipe for a 9 x 13 inch pan)

 

Chocolate or white chocolate coating

Melt 1/3 cup semi sweet, bittersweet or natural white chocolate chips in a microwave or double broiler according to the package directions.

Whisk in 2 tsp virgin coconut oil until blended

Spread or drizzle over cooled, uncut bars. Alternatively, dunk the ends of cut bars and place on an unlined cookie sheet

Refrigerate for 30 minutes until the coating has hardened.

Greek yogurt coating

Melt ¼ cup natural white chocolate chips in a microwave or double broiler according to the package directions

Whisk in 1 tbsp. virgin coconut oil until blended, then whisk in 1 tbsp. plain non-fat greek yogurt, 1 tsp at a time until blended and smooth.

Spread or drizzle over cooled uncut bars. Alternatively dunk the ends of cut bars and place on an unlined cookie sheet.

Refrigerate for 30 minutes until the coating has hardened

Makes enough to coat one 8×9 inch pan of bars (double recipe for a 9×13 inch pan)
